1877年4月15日、札幌農学校(現在の北海道大学農学部)の基礎を築いた教頭・クラーク博士が、「Boys，be ambitious.(少年よ、大志を抱け)」という有名な言葉を残して北海道を去った。
The April 15 "Boys Be Ambitious Day"
April 15, 1877, vice-principal, Dr. Clark laid the foundation of Sapporo Agricultural College (now Hokkaido University Faculty of Agriculture) was left the famous word "Boys, be ambitious." and he departed the Hokkaido.
