2月11日は「万歳三唱の日」1889年2月11日、明治憲法発布の祝典ではじめて万歳三唱が行なわれたことを記念して制定された。政府は天皇への祝意を表すものとして万歳を奨励した。
February 11 the "Day of the three cheers" February 11, 1889, was enacted to commemorate that the first time three cheers have been performed in celebration of the establishment of the Meiji Constitution. The government has encouraged the cheers as representing congratulations to the emperor.
