7月11日は「真珠記念日」
1893年７月11日、三重県鳥羽町の御木本幸吉夫妻が、初めて真珠の養殖に成功した。
養殖場を始めてから3年目で、半円形ながら5粒の養殖真珠が収穫された。円形の真珠は1906年に完成した。
July 11 is "pearl anniversary"
July 11, 1893. Mikimoto Kokichi and his wife for the first time succeeded in cultured pearls. The couple lived in Toba, Mie Prefecture .
Farm in the beginning three years from the first, cultured pearl of 5 tablets while semi-circular has been harvested. Round pearl was completed in 1906.
