10月31日は「ハロウィン」
キリスト教の聖人の祝日「万聖節」の前夜祭。 古代ヨーロッパの原住民ケルト族の収穫感謝祭がキリスト教に取り入れら れ、現在のハロウィンになったとされている。ケルト族の1年の終わりは10 月31日で、この夜は死者の霊が家族を訪ねたり、精霊や魔女が出てくると信 じられていた。これらから身を守る為に仮面を被り、魔除けの焚火を焚い た。 これに因み、31日の夜、南瓜をくり貫いて作ったジャック・オー・ランタ ン(お化けカボチャ)に蝋燭を立て、魔女やお化けに仮装した子供達が「Trick or Treat(お菓子をくれなきゃ、いたずらするぞ)」と唱えて近くの家を1軒ず つ訪ねる。家庭では、カボチャの菓子を作り、子供達はもらったお菓子を持 ち寄り、ハロウィン・パーティーを開いたりする。

In one year of the end is October 31 of Celtic, this evening spirits of the dead  visit the family, and believed come out spirits and witches.
And suffered a mask in order to protect themselves from these.
On the ather hand the night of the 31st, and candles in jack-o- lantern , which was made by hollowing the pumpkin (haunted pumpkin), children who fancy dress to witches and ghosts saying "Trick or Treat (sweets If not, it'll be naughty) "and visit In  nearby house chanting.
At home, make a pumpkin of confectionery, children and got sweets closer, or to open a Halloween party.
